Introducing Playbook
A complete, open-source brand system for player-education that any gambling operator can adopt for free, or rebrand entirely as their own.
Today, I’m releasing Playbook — a complete, open-source brand system for player-education that any gambling operator can adopt for free, or rebrand entirely as their own.
The premise is simple. Most player-protection content has no soul. Players ignore it and nobody benefits. Playbook works from the opposite premise: most players gamble for entertainment, and content should either be helpful or worth sharing.
The system covers what an operator needs to launch: voice and visual identity, templates across every channel, segment-specific messaging, and jurisdictional compliance modules (and growing every week).
Use it as Playbook, or change one configuration file and the entire system — colors, fonts, helplines, voice, language — re-skins under your own brand. Every piece of collateral is produced programmatically, so content is easy to add, remove, or adapt.
I’m releasing it open-source under the most permissive license possible because I’ve seen that there are tremendous network effects from multiple parties working on the same RG system. My hope is that putting a complete, premium system into the public domain raises the floor for everyone — and that operators and regulators take it further than I can on my own.
Explore the system, make it your own, or see how you can launch a new RG page this afternoon at gamblingpolicy.com/playbook.
