Brand Configurator

Make Playbook yours. Pick your colors, fonts, voice, and messaging — watch every template restyle live — then download the files that drive the whole system.

Welcome

Build your brand’s Playbook

Playbook is an open-source brand system for gambling entertainment literacy — 80+ ready-made templates, messages, and tools. This configurator white-labels all of it for your brand in about ten minutes. No code required.

What you’ll walk away with

_brand.yml — the recipe

One file that holds every choice you make here: colors, fonts, taglines, helplines, legal text. Drop it into a fork of the Playbook repo, run one build command, and all 80+ templates regenerate in your brand.

brand-inject.css — the instant restyle

A single self-contained stylesheet (your logo and fonts embedded) that re-skins any Playbook page or widget on your website. No build step — just upload it.

Content kit — your messages as data

The full Playbook content library — 67 messages, 18 myth-busters, 50 CTAs, campaign briefs — as JSON/CSV with your brand values pre-filled. Ready for any CMS, email platform, or app.

How it fits together

Drop your _brand.yml here or click to browse
Pick up right where you (or a colleague) left off — every section loads back into the wizard.
Step 1 of 7

Brand Identity

Upload your logo and name your program.

What is this step for?

Your program name becomes the wordmark on every template — split-styled like "PlayBOOK" or shown as one word. Your logo can sit alongside it (co-brand) or replace it entirely.

The organization, website, and email fill the meta: section of _brand.yml and resolve {{ORGANIZATION}}-style placeholders across all collateral and legal lines.

Step 2 of 7

Color Palette

Pick three brand colors. We’ll generate the rest.

Why three colors?

Every Playbook template is built from three roles: Primary (dark card and page backgrounds), Secondary (highlights, badges, interactive elements), and Accent (CTAs and big stat numbers). Lighter and darker shades are derived automatically.

The badges next to each picker check WCAG 2.1 AA contrast as you type, so your collateral stays readable. Open the advanced section to fine-tune text, background, and status colors individually.

Primary (dark background)
Used for headers, cards, and backgrounds
Secondary (interactive elements)
Used for highlights, pillar badges, and emphasis text
Accent (CTAs & stats)
Used for buttons, stat numbers, and call-to-action elements
Pick a dark base color, then click Apply to generate all text and background colors below
Text Colors
Body copy, headings, captions, and muted text on cards and pages. Hover any preview element to see which slot controls it.
Used in email, print, brochure, and brand-book templates.
Drives the Tier 2 subline in the preview, plus email, print, and web body copy.
UI Colors
Light text on dark cards, borders, dividers, and page backgrounds
Status Colors
Quiz results, limit warnings, and crisis alerts
Background color of the footer strip on dark cards. Auto-derived from primary by default.
Playbook uses two gradients by default: a horizontal accent → secondary bar at the top of cards, and a primary → primary-dark background on posters and stories. Some color combinations look muddy when blended — uncheck this to use solid colors instead.
Step 3 of 7

Typography

Choose heading and body fonts from Google Fonts, or upload your own.

How fonts flow through the system

Three font roles cover everything: Heading (titles, wordmark, stat numbers), Body (paragraphs and captions), and Monospace (odds, percentages, helpline numbers — figures align cleanly).

An uploaded brand font is embedded directly into your brand-inject.css as a data URL, so it works anywhere without hosting font files. The type scale controls how large each text level renders across all templates.

Upload a .woff2, .woff, .ttf, or .otf file. The font will be auto-selected as the heading font and added to all selectors below. Single-weight fonts use synthesized bold for headings.
Every game has a house edge.
Your brain sees patterns. The math doesn’t. Every spin is independent — past results have zero effect on the next one.

Type Scale
Controls the size of all headings and text across your brand.

Step 4 of 7

Voice & Culture

How your content sounds — and how it adapts across cultures. Defaults match the Playbook base profile (Western, individualist, direct).

What does the cultural profile change?

The five dimensions below rewrite the actual copy across templates — watch the myth-buster and support cards on the right change as you switch them. Voice sets who’s talking, framing sets who benefits, humor and directness set the register, and comfort sets how openly gambling is discussed.

The tone preferences and avoid-list keep Tier 1 content stigma-free: words like “problem gambler” never appear in entertainment-literacy content, only in support contexts.

Preferred Language
Term-by-term guidance for content creators — e.g. say “player”, not “gambler”.
Clinical or stigmatizing terms that never appear in entertainment-literacy content.
Per-country overrides of the five dimensions above, applied at build time when rendering localized collateral. Each new country starts from your brand-wide profile.

No country overrides yet.

Step 5 of 7

Messaging & Content

Pillars, taglines, calls to action, and the default copy on your templates.

Where does this copy show up?

Pillars are the two promises your content makes (Playbook’s are “Open” and “Social”) — they appear as badges on cards and organize the whole content library. Taglines rotate through posters, social cards, and emails. CTAs are the button labels.

The content defaults at the bottom fill the actual posters, displays, and emails in the template gallery — change a stat row and watch the “Know Your Game” poster update.

Brand Pillars
The promises your content makes. At least two recommended.
Open Taglines
Transparency-focused taglines for your “Open” pillar.
Social Taglines
Social/sharing-focused taglines for your “Social” pillar.
Primary CTAs
Button labels and calls to action across your brand.
Feature CTAs
CTAs for tools and features (limit-setting, calculators, etc.).
Content CTAs
CTAs that lead to articles, videos, and explainers.
These fill the posters, displays, and emails in the template gallery. Override them to localize or customize the default copy.

Step 6 of 7

Jurisdiction & Support

Configure your jurisdiction’s regulatory and support information.

Why this matters

Every template carries a helpline and an age line — they resolve from the values here. Picking a jurisdiction preset fills the correct helpline, self-exclusion program, support organization, minimum age, and any regulator-prescribed disclaimer wording.

Where regulators prescribe verbatim text (e.g. Pennsylvania’s § 501a.7), use that wording exactly. Always verify with your legal team before publishing.

Review & Download

Check your configuration, then download your brand files.

_brand.yml Developer
The recipe. Drop into a fork of the Playbook repo and run npm run build — every template, token file, and content feed regenerates in your brand. Re-import it here anytime to keep editing.
brand-inject.css Designer
The instant restyle. One self-contained stylesheet with your colors, fonts (embedded), and logo (embedded). Upload to the RG website’s “Try your brand” tool or drop into any Playbook page — no build step.

Just want the samples?

Download your configured preview cards as ready-to-use PNG images. The template gallery offers full-size PNGs of every template.

📦 Content Kit

Your entire Playbook content library as structured data — messages, myth-busters, CTAs, and campaigns — with your brand values pre-filled. Ready to import into any CMS, email platform, or app.

Playbook content is designed to support responsible gambling programs, not replace regulatory compliance. Requirements for mandatory disclosures, helpline display, and player communications vary by jurisdiction. Operators should review all content with their compliance team before deployment.

What’s Next?

  1. Fork the Playbook repo on GitHub
  2. Replace _brand.yml with the file you just downloaded (step 2 of the flow diagram)
  3. Place your logo file in visual-identity/logo/operator/
  4. Run npm install && npm run build to regenerate all assets
  5. Run cd collateral/render && npm install && node render-cards.mjs to render every template as a PNG
